The testing method of a Bottle Burst Tester involves firmly securing the bottle within the holder of a bottle burst tester. The test can be performed as either a proof test or a resistance test.

During the test, a predetermined pressure is applied on the sample and sustained for a predefined period of time. The impact of this pressure that is created within the bottle is recorded. The results and observations are tabulated.

These are used to determine how much pressure the bottle can withstand before it bursts or gets damaged.
